Hi! I've been reading LymeNet on my lunch break at work now for days. I finally have my home computer up and going. Reading what you guys have to say is sometimes all that gets me through. Just knowing, finally, that there is someone else out there means the world.

I just got my IGeneX test results and I don't understand. Please help.

It appears that you have two positive bands
and a possible third . I believe the clinic I went to treated lyme with TWO positive bands if the clincal profile indicated lyme overall.

Others here may have better info , but I do believe my doc would have viewed this as a lyme case , because you DO have Lyme Antibodies .

Do you also have the IgM Western Blot results?

Thanks for responding. All Bands on IgM Western Blot were negative. I was diagnosed (clinically) by Dr. S. in PA with chronic neurological lyme on January 10, 2007.

I've been on antibiotics since then and from what I've read on the forums being on meds can affect the results of the tests. Good news, bad news kind of thing I guess.

Read this TWICE. It will explain everything. After you've been on abx for awhile you could get the test done again.

Western Blot explanation:
http://tinyurl.com/ffn3x

At that time, you may have more bands show up and/or the #39 band may turn into a "+".

Even having an "IND" on band 39 means you most likely have lyme as band 39 is SPECIFIC FOR LYME. Only lyme can cause it to show up.
