If the practitioner is skilled, it can be VERY helpful. I have done similar energetic testing with EAV, etc. and find it very useful.

Vega testing has been invaluable to me in the last 20+ years and has helped to identify my numerous food and chemical sensitivities. It has definitely worked for me.

i meant it very literally. word for word, that's what i meant. glass does not conduct electricity, as a simple rule. i wasted 100$ of money i can't spare on totally useless arbitrary "information".

Please do not let the negativity of some deter you from what may be a great step on your healing journey. It changed my life. It was how I was diagnosed with Lyme after 8 years.

Thanks you guys for answering. I should have been more specific when I asked for information about VEGA testing. I mean actual articles and stuff. All I can find on the internet about it is stuff by clinics who use it who say it is wonderful and stuff by doctors who think it is a total waste of time.
I am asking about this because my doctor's office uses it on me and I have no idea what to think about it really. Am trying to learn more about it.

I have a friend who believes that VEGA testing has provided her with invaluable information that helped her treat problems that no conventional medical testing was able to reveal.
Sorry you were not satisfied with your VEGA testing, Daniel. Thanks for posting the link to the one study.
After reading through this study - which was to test the efficacy of VEGA in detecting allergies - I find that VEGA testing is not normally used to test for allergies!
Gee, why would they study something that the VEGA machines were not designed to detect? It is absurd.
quote:However, we recognise that electrodermal testing, when used to assess ``antigens'' in a non-blinded manner, is usually used to evaluate food intolerance rather than to diagnose allergies in the traditional sense of the term....
Furthermore, we recognise that electrodermal testing was developed to aid the prescription of homoeopathic and herbal remedies and not primarily as an allergy test; we made no attempt to evaluate these claims .1 ...
The phenomena involved in electrodermal testing may make it difficult to evaluate in an entirely blind manner, as the person conducting the test may be an important part of the process.
