I am trying to understand something I heard about Lyme infected people not catching colds/flu.
I know that I rarely catch a cold myself lately, but I don't understand it. Lyme suppresses the immune system from what I understand, so catching a virus should be easy, no???
Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Confused

Bb infection causes excess polarization of our immune system toward its Th1 side. That's the side that fights invaders such as the common cold virus. So, our immune systems go into overdrive against such bugs, and that's why most of us don't get as many colds as we used to. I think I've had just one in the past 10 years.
