Hi all, I am frustrated because since I started treatment six months ago, I believe I have gotten weaker. What little stamina I had is now almost gone.
Is this considered normal? My doctor seems to think I herx too much and that is why he told me not to use my sauna for three weeks.
Today I tried to do some necessary physical activities and they about did me in. I couldn't finish what I started. My strength just went. I used to be able to do these activities. They were hard but I was able to accomplish them. Now I can't.
I'm afraid that treatment isn't doing me any good and that my disease is progressing. If I keep going like this, I will soon be totally bedridden.
Does it truly get much worse before it gets better?? I just need some hope, I guess.
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried taking a break from your ABX? You could be in a constant herx and overflowed with toxins... Usually when I get to feeling really bad constantly, I take a break from the ABX for a few days atleast then start again, it usually makes me feel better.

Hi, I could try that even though it was not suggested by my LLMD. I just talked to him on Thursday. He is going to start me on Larium because he thinks my problems are Babesia related.
Thanks for the suggestion. I may try it sometime along the way.

500mgs of Biaxin, 250mgs Flagyl and 250mgs of injected Rocephin daily. The doctor had me start out really slow in January and I've worked up to this amount. The injections first then several weeks later, 1/2 pill of Biaxin then several weeks after that 1/2 pill of Flagyl.
I was previously on Doxycycline for three months 400mgs per day. I was taken off that when I was started on the Rocephin.
