Not sure if this is Lyme related or not, but I have a tiny white bump on the inside of my lower eyelid.

It is about the size of . and it has my eye going crazy. The bump itself is painless, but it seems to be irritating my eyeball terribly, like something is scratching it.

It is worst in morning and evening, and very sensitive to light at these times. I had the same thing in my other eye a couple weeks ago without the pain and it is still there. Can't find anything on searches other than styes. I'm clueless on this one.

Any ideas??

Maybe chalazia?
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001006.htm

I get these fairly often in varying degrees. (Always have really.) I think having dry eyes makes them happen more frequently.

That's about all I could think up this morning. I hope someone comes along with more helpful info. And, moreso, hope it goes away quickly.

Maybe it could be a stye? I get styes sometimes, but they are usually right on the edge of the lid. I had one that was slightly turned in recently and extremely painful.

If it is a stye, a warm wet cloth for at least 10 minutes at a time helps.

I have one of these every month or two, usually on the inside of my upper right lid. My ophthalmologist said the condition is called Blepharitis: http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/blepharitis

He recommended hot compresses on a daily basis. I only manage to remember when I am really bothered by one. He said if the condition becomes really bad he could prescribe minocycline ... only thing is, I was already on mino for Lyme at the time he suggested it. Now I'm on doxy and the eye condition is no worse and maybe even a little better.
