Ive had this symptom before but it has come back with a vengence. My right arm will cramp and feel tired easily while doing simple tasks like typing even. My muscles in my shoulders feel like they have had concrete poured into them and they are so, so sore. Anyone else get this? I have a massage scheduled next week. I get so scared that I'll lose use of my arm one day!!

Flexeril helped me. It's a muscle relaxer. Once that started working, myofascial trigger point release helped too.
I had to be on the Flexeril for over 2 years. The pain does come back now that I'm off it. I wish I had better news. But when I was on it, the Flexeril was a life saver.

Yes Nancy I get this. It seems to come out of nowhere. I'll wake up with weak, heavy arms. It can last an hour or weeks. My arms feel weak even just brushing my hair. It's very disturbing. I get this in my legs too. My shoulders hurt with it. I started Biaxin again a months or so ago. A few days after starting it got bad. I got out of the shower, put towel on my head and dislocated my shoulder. I don't think it's a joint problem. I think it's a muscle or nerve problem. I just don't know.

Flexeril is GOOD...Keep hydrated too; heavy limbs is one indication of dehydration. Do you have Dysautonomia?

I tried taking flexeril for it but it only seemed to make it feel heavier. Maybe I didn't give the medication enough time? I do agree that I need to keep the muscles active-lifting some light weights is a great idea.
What is dysatonia? I don't think I have heard of that before. Well, off to bed with my hot water bottle and a book!

I had this problem and sometimes still do (only 4 months treatment so far) Does it hurt to press/squeeze your arm/shoulder muscles. They may have alot of trigger points in them like I do. I have trigger points in my arms, shoulders, back, and neck. Hopefully I can start therapy for them in a few months...

I just back from being out with my kids today. My arms feel like they have lead weights out in them (primarily the right one). Both arms and hands are twitching really bad and I am having bad prickling sensations in both of them (again more in the right arm). Shoulders hurt and I am achey all over. Yuck.

Nal,
How long did you try Flexeril and at what dose? It didn't make a difference for me until I reached 20mg a night. And that was about a month into taking it.
It's hard to get used to, because it does cause fatigue. But it also doesn't work for everybody.

This is one of my biggest problems. My (bicep tendons, elbows and hands). It keeps me from doing even small things. They hurt, are heavy, hurt with movement and even without movement.
I take flexeril too. However, this past week Doc gave me some Darocet, it really helps so far.
I wonder if this is something permanent myself.
