I have a question to shoot to anyone that may have an answer. For those who had the bullseye rash, is it normal for it to look scaly after a while(4 months in my case)?
I have one that is scaly and one that healed up but the skin is still slightly red where the ring was. Is this normal/abnormal/unheard of?

My bullseye rash that I got after taking some things to boost my immune system was very scaled over. This bullseye lasted for over a year. It started at about the size of a quarter and grew to be over 12" in diameter over the course of the year.
I can't remember exactly but, I think mine started to scale over at about 4 months (give or take a month). This bullseye also itched like crazy and once it started to scale over, my skin started peeling off in thick layers repeatingly for several months. My husband said it looked like I was a serious burn victim. That's how bad it was.
No one including my doctor thought that my skin there would ever be the same again. Once it got to be 12" it took another whole year for my skin to heal but eventually it went back to normal. The experience was just awful.
I don't know if this is normal for a bullseye to do this but, I remember hearing one other person here saying that their bullseye was scaly and peeled alot of skin.

I don't have a bullseye, but have granular whatchamacallits that crop up regularly on my arms,shoulders,back and butt usually. I don't remember any occurring ever on my forearms,lower legs,or face.Possibly they are on my scalp,since that is always itchy.They get white and scaley after several months,when I can peel them off to stop the itch & let them heal.Yes, they are red and sensitive under the scale.

Thank you Mary, lily & betty! My thigh rash is so scaly & peels a lot. The edges have bumps that sort of swell up if I itch the scales off. It's about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and it about 4 months old.
It hasn't responded to steroid creams nor antifungals. It seems to be getting bigger around the edges. Also, it started out as a pimple-ish bump but was extremely painful. It burned deep down, if that makes any sense.
It's interesting to hear about others' experiences with this weird rash. Now to get rid of it! lol

Wow...I would have thought that was ringworm.
I know there are many variations of the bullseye, but was not aware of that one.

The bullseye that I was talking about started out simular to yours with pimple like bumps. As it grew the edge always had bumps surrounding it and it caused the worst itching anyone could ever imagine. I also got the deep burning that you describe.
The only thing that I found that helped once it scaled over was to always keep it moisturized with a good natural lotion/cream. Everything else I tried for itching did not even touch it.
I'm sorry you have to go through this. I'm here for you anytime you need to talk about it. I had almost every skin manisfestation possible from my bullseye. It seemed to just run it's own course and eventually went away. It has been a little over a year since it has completely gone away and it has not come back.
