I'm so worried about my nephew. I've already posted his story but I wanted to ask others about one of his most bothersome symptoms.
Has anyone else experienced an aching, burning sensation throughout the abdominal area?
My nephew doubles over in pain, occasionally vomits, and has tremors in his abdomen.
The tremors and burning ache have spread to his legs and he can no longer walk.
I would like some enlightenment about the GI symptoms associated with Lyme.
Thanks a bunch! - Lymelady

Hi Lymelady,
If you go to the Newbies Learning Links here on Lymenet, and scroll down to the topics under page 4, you will see a link to an article about Bell's Palsy of the Gut. It talks about the vagus and other nerves and Lyme.
It's been awhile since I read the article, but from what I recall, it was very helpful to me. I have constant tremoring throughout my body, but I think the vagus nerve is the main cause - I can actually see my abdomen and chest tremoring.
I also have the burning neuropathy, head to toe. It started in my feet and moved up. Burning is just one manifestation of neuropathy, but certainly consistent with Lyme, Bartonella, probably most of these tick-borne diseases.
I wish your nephew the very best. It sounds like he is going through a really debilitating time.
Jill
