My LLMD has told me to take 4 fish oil softgels daily and I'm having a hard time fitting them into my daily routine. I can only take one at a time and it has to be with substantial food or I get nauseous, so I'd like to take one with each meal, but already take abx with breakfast and dinner.
Can I take one at the same time as I take my abx? I'm on zith, bactrim and mepron plus art. Any reason why this isn't a good idea? Thanks for any thoughts.

My doc says fish oil is key to the inflamation. He says for me to take up to 6 a day. I went to the Zone website and I'm taking those without much of a problem. Hey, I just moved to Philly and I know this area is horrible for ticks. I'm trying to stay away from all woody areas. I saw where you do art...is there somewhere in Pa for that? I was doing it in DC before I moved here and it really is key in getting the right meds. If you get a chance, get you PM me if it's someone in Pa. Thanks!

I took one tsp of coconut oil with 100mg of Mino and 600mg of rifampin.
It's said that Mino is more lipid soluble than Doxy so Mino is more effective than Doxy.
Rifampin also is lipid soluble.
So I postulate that oil would augment the effects of abx in my case if taken together.
Once I added Arte. to the above combo, I herxed very hard, I had to take Arte. away.
It's known that oil can augment the effects of Arte.

Hi, Mary, and welcome to Philly! Actually, I was using "art" to abbreviate for artemisinin, which I take for babesia. However, I do know of a woman in the western suburbs of Philly who does a variety of homeopathic remedies and, I think, ART testing. I'll try to dig up her name in my files and will PM you if I find anything.
Do you have an LLMD here already? If you do, would you PM me about who it is? Always interested in feedback about local LLMDs.
