I am on my third week of I.V. Glutathione-2000 mg. 3 times a week and notice that during the injection my feet start getting hot and burn like crazy, I called the pharmacist and she said she has never heard of this as a side effect. I was wondering if it is a good or bad thing. Does anyone know? Most of my symptoms are neurological to begin with-burning, stinging ,electric shock sensations, etc. Thanks!

I have had lots and lots of glutathione IVs, and it does give you a very warm sensation going in. I wouldn't necessarily say it feels like "burning" to me. I do notice that if there is a particular area of my body that is bothering me (like my sinuses, stiff neck or something), it seems like that particular area feels the warmest during the IV drip. It feels to me like it "targets" exactly where you need it. That's been my experience anyway.

docjen,
Do you mind sharing where you get your iv? I'm likely going to start a modified myer's cocktail and iv glutathione and am looking for someplace that is metro accessible and at least insurance friendly so I can mail in claims if they don't.

My ND says that if you get a reaction from glutathione, then you actually need to take more
to flush out your system. It stirs up toxins and heavy metals, and you need to have enough in your
system to clear the junk out. Are you under the care of a naturopath or somebody you could check
this out with? I don't have personal experience. I do experience a burning sensation
in my feet when my liver gets congested, so I try to add more detox, lemon water, liver cleanse, etc.
