Found them below my anklebone on both legs and some traveling up my shin from the ankle on the one side. I searched the forum and found lots of info about these. I'm just curious about why they would show up on me NOW, when there's been no change in my regimen for over 8 weeks.
I've been on Mepron since March and zith since August last year. Added Bactrim in 8 weeks ago and have been pulsing artemisinin 3 weeks on and one week off for months now. Been back on the art (400mg daily) this time for two weeks.
Also, when I press on them, they don't fade. Is that normal? Should I call the LLMD in the morning to let him know?
Thanks for any info!

Hi.
My LLMD does not believe the petachiae to be related to any specific co-infection.
However, from what I've read on the board, it seems to be linked to babesia.
I had one round of babs treatment (3 months).
Within two weeks of discontinuing this therapy for bartonella,
My symptoms were back. I had petechiae come up before I went back on babs meds.
I still have them while on babs therapy, but no new ones have popped up.
Hope this helps.
Hugs,

Could be an allergic reaction. I would run it by the doc if it did not improve.
