I have an appointment the second week in October with Dr. C in MO.........I spent 30 minutes on the phone with their office yesterday............what a pleasant experience this was compared to what I have been dealing with in the recent months!

It is such a relief just knowing that there MAY be some relief in sight! Now if I can just make it with no real treatment until then......I have been through the "4 week protocol" and have been off of that for three weeks.

I am amazed at the regression of some of my symptoms after such a short protocol......any suggestions to help me "hold on" would be greatly appreciated...

Will your current doctor give you meds to last till then?

If not, how about buying the book Healing Lyme by Buhner and taking the herbs until then?

I would do this or buy the meds yourself like doxy.

Find a good organic liver detox before you start any protocol.

(Here's the one our daughter started with - I'm sure there are others, but this is the one she takes)

http://www.xymogen.com/xy_products.asp?code=000034

Our daughter spent about the first 4 to 6 weeks before her initial antibiotic treatments strengthening her immune system, detoxing her liver and building up the probiotics in her intestines.

Her LLMD wouldn't start anything until he was confident her body could handle the stress of herxing.

Good Luck

If not, go to an Urgent Care clinic near you and tell them you've been bitten by a tick. No need to tell them you will be seeing a Lyme Literate MD....they will be less likely to give you meds then.

If it were ME, I would want 400mg of doxy per day.

I would personally do anything you could to get your hands on some antibiotics! You can say you have a sinus infection, got bit by a tick and developed a rash, or really anything to get some antibiotics.

Most doctor are willing to hand them out to people without cause except for wen you mention lyme. Do you have bad skin? People with achne can get antibiotics really asily is they visit a dermatologist.

Good luck and hang in there!
