According to the Federal Bill information I just saw.. only 24 states have co-sponsors signed up.

And I KNOW we have Lyme in more than 24 states!

Please check to see if you can get your HOUSE representatives signed on the bill. YOU need to be represented!

And we all need to work together to get 'er done!

Only 20 percent of House members have signed on as co-sponsors to the bill so far. We need more!!! And YOU can make a difference!!!

Go to this site and click on the Federal Bill information. Then click on your state.

You can also click where it says House of Representatives (listed just below where all individual states are listed) to see totals for all states.

THANKS!!!!

Okay, so it is not a big suprise as there was NO ONE from Louisiana supporting this bill.

Spent a busy morning e-mailing all legislatures and urging their support of the bill,

As we DO have Lyme disease in Louisiana.

Hugs,

Geneal

No one from Colorado has co-sponsored this Bill, either. They just don't get it here.

I just wrote to my Federal District Representative about this. Since he sits on some Agricultural committees, I approached it partially from that standpoint, hoping that might capture his attention.

I am pleasantly surprised to see that all 8 representatives from the State of Maryland have signed on as co-sponsors. I think I will write to them to thank them for their support.

No representative from Alabama, Georgia, or West Virginia is signed on either.

Will try to do something this week.

Yes its great to see such great support from the representitives here in Maryland for the bill. I am slow at typing messages, but will take some time and acknowledge there support.

I grew up in Ind. and at times wonder if this is where I came in contact with Lyme at a early age. Friends in Ind. just dont under stand Lyme, and neither do the representitives there.

My rep (I think, recently moved) has signed! He's usually pretty responsive to needs of his district.

Rep Smith from NJ has a daughter who my younger son had a huge crush on when they were in 4th grade! [Big Grin] Then we moved to a different school.

Well considering that the CDC says that there's Lyme in nearly all 50 states...see here:

http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_rptdLymeCasesbyState.htm

Basically 48 of the 50 states have had reported cases...

This only goes to 2005? When is it updated?

I'm in Texas, and there IS DEFINITELY Lyme in Texas.

Wow - I am shocked - 9 rep's from Tennessee, including my own. Maybe the fact that our Gov. recently was diagnosed had some state political pull.

Yes.. shocking that more aren't signed on as co-sponsors.

Please make calls and encourage them to join in. VERY important.

If your state has some but not all.. push the ones who haven't signed on.

In Maryland I already got all the House members signed on.. but am having a problem getting the attention of the 2 Senators. Actually it is their staff I am having problems with... not the Senators themselves at this point.

I will be posting a call to action for Maryland and would appreciate you all helping and letting them know we want them signed on.

I noticed very few Senators are signing on at this time in any states. Please be sure they are contacted in YOUR state.

If no one is leading the effort.. YOU can.

And thanks for the responses. We can make a difference.

Has the Senate bill already been introduced? If so, I'll go ahead and contact my senators.
