Just wondering if some of you get pelvic and/or abdominal pain, similar to that of a urinary tract infection?
Yet when tested for a UTI, it always comes up negative, as well as every other test that would determine the cause of such pain.
It usually lasts a week, sometimes more, then goes away. Any ideas?

I suffered with pelvic pain for years, went to my gyno over and over and the ER because of the pain. I was tested for urinary infections, pelvic infections and had cat scans done at the ER.
I never found out exactly what was causing it, my gyno thought pelvic infections, or intestinal problems. Abx did help, and treatment for lyme and co-infections has made it 90% better.
So for me it was a lyme symptom. Lyme did a job on all 3 for me, my intestines, pelvic area and my bladder, so it could have been all 3 for me, I will never know.
I hope the pain clears up for you and you feel better.

Do you actually have burning on urination, like a UTI? I had a clear UTI recently that tested negative. But I started the cipro prescription when I started bleeding, and it cleared right up.
It can always be a bacteria they aren't catching in the culture.
If it's just the cramping feeling, then that could be hormonal or just muscle cramping.
