My insurance company (HMO) sent me to an Opthomolgist and a Neurologist because I had 4.5 hours of double vision.
Optho was very supportive of my LD, the Neuro is not. As a matter of fact, he is having me tested for MS and a bunch of other diseases, and an MRI on the 19th.
I'm concerned that if the Neuo disagrees with my LLMD, that my insurance co. won't pay their portion of the meds anymore.
Has anyone had to deal with this.

I think it is very important to rule out anything that can be ruled out. If the neurologist can find nothing else wrong, then that helps support your lyme diagnosis.
If he does find a cause for your problems, then you need to take his diagnosis into consideration.
I had LOTS of neurologists examine me. They could find nothing wrong.
I have lyme disease and chronic viral infections.
Oh, have the neurologist consider EBV too (mine didn't and it would have helped me if he had):
And, same advice. It is only in your best interest to have everything ruled out. I continued all meds while still wrapping up neuro, particularly MS, investigation.
Even now, my little group of docs sort of agree to disagree. The one thing no one can refute is that I have regained a lot of my health with doxy. Unfortunately, this is just one more of the challenges of LD.
Good Luck, it really is good to eliminate other possibilities -
