Just started getting tremors about 6-8 months ago prior to being diagnosed with lyme. Does anybody else get these? I was put on heart pills with very few tests conducted right when it started.

I have tremors pretty bad myself. It comes with Lyme Disease. I believe Magnisuim citrate is supposed to help with the tremors, but I would check with your doctor before starting any types of supplements.

Yes, I got them about two years into treatment. Possibly Bartonella because the tremors, myoclonus and worsening twitching seemed to correlate somewhat with my Bart test turning positive. I'm on Bart treatment and still tremor all the time, unfortunately.

maybe i should start a new post for this, but as long as we're on the subject of tremors..
i have a friend who has A LOT of trouble w/ tremors.. doctors haven't been able to find a cause and are telling her it's psychological (total BS, in my opinion). the only other symptom she's mentioned is pain/myalgias, i think in joints, and especially after walking a lot.
does anyone think that with these two symptoms alone she could have lyme disease? should she be evaluated by an LLMD?

I know Lyme patients who only have one or two symptoms, so it could be a possibility for her.
The Mold Warriors book mentions tremors as a sign of mold toxicity, so I would presume there could be a few other diagnoses she could consider as well.

I've had tremors for a few years. It has been a consistent symptom for me. ABX helps.

Thought I'd check in with anyone out there who might suffer from tremors. Is it all the time. Does it get better with treatment.
Mine seemed to be better for almost a year. Since starting on Rocephin IV, I've noticed that they are creeping back in again.

Most of my hand and head tremors have gone away with over one year of abx. Seem to be getting better the longer I stay on abx.

I often feel shaky inside, but only sometimes physically shake(my hands). A confrontational or nervous situation is a sure bet to cause it. Exercise also causes it, especially in the morning, and especially under the pressure of competition.
Sometimes it happens for no apparent reason. Even intense television shows bring it on. When it happens, I feel it in my chest, through my arms, and feel a bit wobbly if standing. Does this qualify as tremor?

Only on occasion have I had tremmors. In the past, maybe once every 6 months... nothing big. and I never thought anything about it.
Then one night I fractured my ankle, and then wonderfully started getting tremmors in that foot. EVERY morning, for about 10-20 sec, but because it was severly sprained and mildly fractured, the shaking hurt SOOOOOOOO bad. It was very weird, and continued happening for another 3 months and then just stopped. This happened before I found out I had lyme, and maybe the injury brought out the lyme there, in tremmor form?
Outside of that, I have never been too concerned about them. I do know they can be MUCH more serious, and it is very important to keep an eye on the situation. Deffinatly something that should be talked about with a doctor.

I get tremors nearly daily, usually when I am tired (or my muscles are relaxed in bed). If I hear a loud noise it can trigger them as well.
I never had them until I first started on antibiotics. My doctor (PCP not my LLMD) thought it was a side effect from the abx. Until after a month off of them and I still had the tremors!
So, for me they started as a herx. But now I have them all the time (but not constantly throughout the day--they come and go).

Tremors continue to freak me out, along with shooting and stabbing pain. Tough at work, holding up maps for people, pointing out things...and I digresss into cognitive stuff. Neurontin seems to at least keep me on the playing field , tho I do get stabbing from behind the eyes, no fun. Good thing I'm not a brain surgeon. ALthough I loathe the next speach or presentation I migh have to give...
