I'm leaving for Prague CZ on Fri for a 1 week stay visiting friends and very nervous.
I'm now on 200 mg doxy twice a day.
Not sure if low grade pressure at base of skull and dull headache is due to the doxy itself or a herx.
I did have major headache twice after switching back to doxy about a month ago. But that's much better
I am worried this is going to spoil my trip (am tired anyway) so was wondering if going to half the dose for the week I'm gone might still keep the keets at bay, so I won't relapse and might relieve the headache.
Don't want to slide backwards though. But want to enjoy my trip!
Could bawl, so stressed out getting ready and not feeling at all energetic.
Hope when I get there some positive endorophins will kick in!

!!! Could backfire by making herx linger longer than it would at higher dosage!!!!!!

I would stick with the higher dosage myself ... you would need to ask your LLMD if you wanted to change it for a while.
Anytime I have travelled, I have had some of my best days. Maybe you'll be like me and feel like garbage right up till the time you leave, then have a few good days in a row while you're gone .... if the trip was longer than a couple days, I'll be dragging by the end of it, but I can go from being sick in bed to feeling pretty good the day I leave.

I vote for lowering, but then I'm not a doctor! Can you call your doctor and see what he/she says?

I just had a phone consult last week, about another issue and am trying to avoid the expense.
I hope someone will come along who has done this and not relapsed.
If not, I think I'll keep on the full dose and hope as you said Sixgoofykids, that when I'm travelling I'll have some of my better days.
I've found that to be true too, but these last few years, I've only gone to relaxing places.
I'm nervous about being with friends I haven't seen for years and being very wound up and trying to understand and speak a little in a foreign language.
I don't do well when I have company stay with me but I'm hoping it'll be easier to "be company" than "have company."
