Hi,
The doc took my blood and sent it to "Enzo Labs" for a lyme test. There were no positive bands in either IgM or IgG. But I'm still a bit paranoid since my wife contracted Lyme recently and I would like to have my blood tested by Igenex as they are the "gold standard". I don't think my doc does Igenex. Anybody know any place in Manhattan where I can walk in and have my blood drawn and they would send it to Igenex?
thanks!

Dear Yan,

Call Igenex and ask them to send the test kit to you. (It's free).

Go to any walk in clinic, or bring it to your doc (maybe he will learn something).

Have your doctor write a Rx for tests 188 and 189.

Have them take your blood.

Put blood and check for 190.00 in FedEx box and bag and take to be mailed.

Or call them for pick up.

In about 2-3 weeks the doctor who ordered the tests will get the results.

Good luck.

Hugs,

Geneal

That is what I did. I called igenex and ordered the testing supplies myself. I took the supplies and paperwork to the doctor's office already filled out and told him I just needed someone to draw my blood and his signature at the bottom of the page. Didn't actually give him much choice...told him I was paying for it, so I just wanted him to sign for me. He was pretty good about it actually.
