I have Trigeminal Neralgia (mouth pain) and have been diagnosed with M.S./Lyme. I was seeing a lyme Dr. and he was to far away to continu. But I do have a referal to a Dr. that treats close by that I plan on seeing as soon as I get my medical records sent.

I have been taking 2 doxy.2/a day and nerontin for the past 2 days since this episode has happened and it doesent seem to be helping.I do have some Flagel left, does anyone think adding that in would help? Thanks,Terri

Dear Kissis,

I don't think the flagyl will help persay.

I know that trigeminal neuralgia is treated by anti-seizure medications sometimes.

I don't think pain meds actually touch this pain.....

Hopefully as you continue in treatment this will lessen and go away.

I know the pain is supposed to be excrutiating [dizzy] .

Sorry you are having to deal with this.

Hugs,

Geneal

Some of my mouth/gum pain was due to food allergies. Specifically, dairy, eggs, all grains, and even all root vegetables. Have you tried an elimination diet?

Except for eggs, all my food allergy tests were negative, but you will never see me bite into a clove of garlic again or eat a carrot.

OUCH!!!!

I am NOT a doctor and I have no clue what will help you with that awful pain.. but what helped me was plain old pennicilin (oral).

For some reason it penetrates in tissue better than some drugs... is often used for mouth and teeth/gum pain.. and it helped me.

I hope you feel better as that is something I REALLY don't like even hearing about.. much less having.

Let us know how you are doing.. ok?
