Hi Everyone....Can anyone tell me if the weather effects Lyme and if so what type of weather is the best for Lyme suffers?.....Thanks

When my arthritis was bad and there was a big storm coming I would always have stirrings of joint pain worse than usual-

I ache from head to toe when a front comes through. In fact I can tell before looking at a weather map that the front has hit the Kentucky border. The closer it gets the worse I feel and then after it passes the sx start to subside.
When I was at my illest 5 yrs ago, this was much worse. Today I still feel it, but it's not on top of a long list of other symptoms.

when we have a low pressure front in alot of the times I feel worse... and more sleepie. On sunny clear days I usualy feel better ~ Not really sure why ~ strange disease

Yes, I believe weather plays a major role in how I feel.
I feel my best on clear, sunny days where the temp. stays right around 75-80 degrees.
If it is too humid or it is cloudy and rainy, it seems to always be a bad day for my neurological symptoms.
And if there is a low-pressure system or storm coming, forget it. I have a headache and am in such a brain fog, its unbelievable. The lower the pressure, the worse the headache and "fog".
I started feeling the weather like that before I even knew about Lyme. It was one of the symptoms that was making my doctors really think that I was crazy.

Dana, I can't wait to be 80 yrs olds and feel 110???? Maybe before then they/we will find wellness again and be active more mature adults.
I'm not going to quit until I do. Never know I might make it to 110 yrs?? Surely by then everyone will know the truth about this awful illness. I can say to family and friends, "I told you my illness wasn't just a coincedence and epidemic. No I wasn't crazy after all."

I wanna move to the tropical islands where it is sunny & nice most of the time. Can't complain here lately...it's been sunny & no real rain for 3 months ( we are in a big time drought)
But today is cloudy and raining & I have a headache & feeling slow.
Yesterday was sunny ~ I cleaned our house & went on a 3 hour photo shoot.
Oh well ~ I'll wait it out... Like Scarlet says" Tommorow is another day"

I know that prior to Lyme, when we had a storm or low pressure
System in The Gulf of Mexico, it affected the children I worked with.
Strange behaviors.
Now I feel the low pressure systems from my toes on up.
I used to be able to feel weather on my old scars (i.e. appendectomy, 2 c-sections).
Now I just sit and see how I feel to determine the weather.....and my day.
I feel like a walking barometer.

me too.
The cold can be artifical cold too like the air conditioning. Mom wanted me to go to movies with her and I said no it would hurt too much.

Anything warmer than 68 degrees makes me more fatigued and I swell up. I think it's the babesia that causes the heat intolerance. Since being on babs treatment I can tolerate warmer temps.
It rains all the time where I live and I don't notice humidity or rain bothering me. I actually like the rain because the air feels cleaner.
I guess once the babs is gone I'll know more about how the borrelia actually affects me.

This morning I woke up to a dense fog and noticed my tongue was white and my lungs and back hurt. My ears and sinuses are clogged, too.
I think any extreme seems to bother me - hot or cold - but humidity seems to be a major factor either way.
Dr. Becker seems to think arthritis tends to flare in damp or humid weather because there are more water molecules in the air which serve as 'conductors' of all this electromagnetic junk, and I agree.
One thing that seems to improve my symptoms is WIND. I don't know why. I just like wind and always have - in fact, I loved Illinois for that reason. Maybe I should have stayed in Zion.
