I know many drugs need to be "weaned-off", but why do they recommend weaning off abx?

Not sure how much longer my stomach can handle it.

Can you go thru abx withdrawal?

I think because all the keets come out to play when you stop abx. So maybe tapering off keeps them off-guard...or reduces the number of keets in hiding. I don't know.

I never tapered off. Just quit.

My doctor was pretty clear about weaning off..I thought maybe withdrawal symptoms.

I've never heard of anyone having withdrawal symptoms from antiobiotics....?
