My LLMD has given me the "ok" to try getting pregnant. I will remain on abx the whole time and I've read many of the previous posts about the risks of passing the disease on to a child, but my biological clock is winding down and waiting much longer isn't really an option.
My remaining symptom, nerve pain in arms/wrists/hands/fingers remains despite all the previous abx treatment. She has recommended taking cymbalta, elavil, or lyrica to try and control the nerve pain. My ob/gyn says absolutely no to all of them.
Anyone have any experience or received advice with regard to nerve pain medication and pregnancy?
Thanks!

How bad is your nerve pain? I suffer from this and I know how bad it can be. Using detox footpads on both my hands and feet has reduced my nerve pain by so much. I could tell a noticable difference after a week of using them. When I stop using them my nerve pain comes back!
It is not a good idea to take many medications when you are pregnant so you should really try to take as little as possible. From my experience with nerve pain I havent personally found any perscription medication to help much anyways.
Good luck, Lindsay
