Hi everyone,

I have been on minocycline for about 3 months.
I am on it until I get the results of my IGENEX tests, by the 2nd LLMD.

SO, my question is this. I have never been on minocycline longer then 1 month in the past so I dont know if this NEW numbness is a side effect of minocycline, or I am getting worse.

Has anyone had numbness as a side effect of minocycline?
My skin is numb in many parts, such as I can poke a pin and not really feel parts of my legs, and parts of my breasts, I am a woman. [Smile]

Here is listed other side effects of minocycline.

"* Continue using minocycline and talk with your doctor if you have any of these less serious side effects:
 mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach upset;
 dizziness, numbness or tingling, ringing in your ears;
 white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips;
 redness or pain where the injection is given;
 swollen tongue, trouble swallowing; or
 vaginal yeast infection (itching or discharge).
"

THANKS,

Trish

Please call your LLMD and tell them the symptoms you are having on mino.

My teeth turned grey-ish black on mino and my tongue turned black.

I don't know about numbness - it's hard to tell because I already had nerve damage from a diagnosis that came too late.

Surf the web for your symptoms. Most doctors are clueless anyway.

I have gotten bad acne. I think that it's strange because this medicine is sometimes used to treat acne. I have also been having itching in two spots that comes and goes and wakes me at night. And more frequent (daily) headaches.

amk33- how long have you been on the mino and what dose? Just wondering, because I have been on 50mg 1x day for 2 weeks now and am also having some "breakouts" on my face. I am 49 yrs old. Too old for sudden acne. (??)

I agree with Geneal. Call your LLMD ASAP. I got hyperpigmentation from mino. My LLMD took me off it as soon as he saw it (I didn't recognize it). Almost a year later I have huge ugly brown spots on my legs.
