I think the THOUGHT is that it is a different species of Bartonella than the one that causes 'cat scratch fever'. I think B's guidelines made this reference.
Good question....I initially thought this bacteria was unlikely to produce so many problems which is why I looked into it further.

Never take anything in wikipedia as definite truth. Wikipedia is a wiki, which means members can join and edit the entries.
Have you ever watched a candidate's entry close to an election? The entry can change by the hour, with each side posting what they want the site to read.
Wikipedia is helpful as a starting point in research, but it is not something you should rely on.

The disease spread by a cat's scratch and the disease spread by ticks are two different things. And yes, the one spread by ticks is MUCH worse.

So if Fry Lab found I have Bart, does that mean it's the tick species of Bart only? Is that the only species the lab looks for?
