This is a link to a NYTimes article on the connection between the decline in criminality since the early 1990's and the reduction of lead in the atmosphere as a consequence of the banning of leaded gasoline. Enjoy.

That decline in criminality has been linked to so many things- remember the uproar when that author said it was because of abortion being legal and all the unwanted children who weren't born weren't acting criminally because of their unwanted upbringings?
THAT was a brou-ha-ha!!! Wow.
Will read the article- thank you greatC*)!!!

Good article greatC, LOVED this line:
Meanwhile, the list of countries that still use lead in gas -- Afghanistan, Serbia and Iraq, as well as much of North Africa and Central Asia -- does not rule out a connection with violence.
