I was wondering if anyone had a list of things that make it hard for the borrelia to survive. I have heard that heparin reduces the fibrin (spelling?) that protects them.

I like to keep my body temp up to 98.6 as much as possible. I think one of the reasons lyme attacks our adrenal and thyroid glands is because the spirochetes thrive when we have lower body temps. I take my temperature a few times a day and work hard to keep it at 98.6.
I agree with you that pH is important. I keep my body very alkaline and that seems to help a lot.
I have been off antibiotics for over a year now. I have had lyme since 1982. I was treated with abx from May 2004 til September 2006. The lyme is not gone, but I am asymptomatic and maintaining. I feel good.

WOW, good for you! You had lyme for over 30 years and only took your 2 years o ABX to get to where you are now is amazing. I was sick for one year before diagnoses and have been treating for almost a year and little to no progress
Yeah, I keep an eye on my body temp as well. I was beginning to think maybe low dose salt/c therapy like 3 grams a day would make the body more salty which is a natural ABX.

Byron -- I dump 1 gram of salt into a 1 liter of water 2x per day, which not only helps my thirst (I am always very thirsty!) but I think helps with alkalinity? Maybe something to check out if you like the taste of the ocean.....

I ditto MKP.
Avoid using air conditioning as possible as you can.
I have significant improvement by using an IR heating pad.
A little higher temperature may not kill the bugs directly but may eventually get rid of them.

Can you rebound? That is minitrampoline?
It is an excellent way to move toxins out of the body and flush fresh water into the cells. The healthier the cells, the better your body can kill and clear Bb. This will also clear the toxins from the abx.
With joint arthritis, I initially had to just sit on my rebounder and bounce that way. But gradually I could stand and bounce very gently (you don't have to be aggressive to get benefit). Now I can bounce 15 to 30 mins at a time and I believe it is keeping my joint pain at bay.
Of course a primo diet will speed recovery. There are a few here who say they got well without watching their diet, but they are extremely rare.

I don't keep my body temp up as a method of killing lyme, that does not kill lyme. I just do it to keep my body functioning the way it was intended and that keeps me asymptomatic. I still have lyme, I just don't have any symptoms. My kids have lyme too (they are teenagers), but they are also asymptomatic because of how we live.
I still had symptoms when I came off antibiotics. I took myself off because I was sick of it all and I decided that after two and a half years if it didn't kill the lyme it probably wasn't going to. I was tired of the doctors and the side effects of the meds and the cost.
I detoxified my body, did a ten day fast which I can describe to you if you like, then got colonics, did a parasite cleanse, a heavy metal detox, liver and gallbladder cleanse, candida cleanse and then put myself on a mostly raw foods diet. (I eat cooked foods at dinner time).
I don't drink caffiene, I don't drink alcohol and I don't eat refined carbs. I don't eat any packaged foods, preservatives, hormones, colorings, additives, pesticides or chemicals if I am aware of them.
Sounds like I don't have any fun, doesn't it? But because of the way I take care of myself, I can go golfing, go to work, do my gardening, clean the house, take the kids where they need to go and I don't have any more depression or anxiety, fatigue or joint pain. So, for me it's worth it.
