Yesterday while flossing, my molar crown popped off. To my horror, I'm currently in the process of almagam removal, 2 done, 8 to go, I seen these molar and the tons of silver used to build up this molar to put a crown on.

I put the crown back on and decided on Monday I would have dentist do something. I hadn't decided what that something is????? Removal of tooth or removal of silver and white crown replacement?

Yes, this morning during breakfast I ate the crown. I have been doing chlorella, goat whey etc for detoxing during slow silver removal.

Has my body already absorbed enough metal from that crown that it's not going to be harmful for intestines/colon?

This was a crown I knew had to be replaced, but I was starting with small fillings and working my way up. Darn it big $$$ again.

Pam

Interesting question. I don't know the answer. My first thought is that maybe it will just pass through and come out and in the end expose you to less metal than having it there in your body for years, but I don't know for sure.

I wouldn't worry about it if it is just silver!!!

I have spent many years of my life living in India. In India it is considered very healthy to eat silver. They have silver leaf in sheets you buy at the market/ bazaar and you put them on speical cakes, pastries, etc and eat the thin battered silver. It is considered very good for your body there!!!

Most likely, the "silver" crown has mercury in it. Even so, I doubt that it would cause a significant problem, if any. I can't imagine that it would be digestable but not something I know for certain.

LOL Cave. Don't think I'll recycle it. But you know I'll be looking for it. lol Not literally. Not planning to use colander or anything.

Don't exactly know that it was silver. Was more or less describing the color. No doubt some metals are involved in this tooth.

Maybe the tooth fairy was telling me it was time for this one to go?????? Just wish she would leave me about $500. under my pillow. Oh well.

Map, I would try to retrieve it if you can. Then you know it is out. You don't want it get stuck somewhere which would be quite easy.

Take tons of fiber and chlorella, any binding agent that you think of. Eat the peel of your potato and of course of the apple, until you know for certain it is out.

Mercury disolves gold. Gold is not innocent - I was more toxic with palladium than with mercury.

Take care.

Pam, I'm glad you are going to be, uh, watching for it. Like GiGi, I would want to make sure it came out.

And if you don't see it within 10 days or so, you could probably get a plain film x-ray of your GI tract and it will show up if is still in there if it is metal....... after all, they make you swallow a capsule full of little metal `o-rings', then x-ray you every day to do a Stool Transit Study to see how far the little rings have moved.

Boy, you have certainly added a new dimension to the heavy metal detox issue. [Smile]

Thanks for the replies and humor. I've got a big decision to make on the replacement or removal of this tooth.

I've spent tons on money on this particular molar. I had periodontial surgery about 10 yrs ago already crowned. But it is an area that I have pain in time to time.

Each of my quads have one tooth that is weakness and throbbing or irration bounces around.

Thanks,
Pam

first if your breathing without problems it went in your esophagus.
it you are whesing then to er immediately
as you have aspirated it into your lungs, it must be surgical removed.

99.99% of cases go into esophagus.
it will pass in your stool in 24 hours.
if you want to save it you must find it in your stool.
drink lots of liquid and elax or coffee.
the thinner the stool the easier it is to find

take to dentist he can sterilize it in an autoclave.

if you think there is any question you aspirated it then you must go to er and have xray to make sure it is not in the lungs.
it will not disolve or give you metal toxcity in 24 hours.

Thanks doc dave. I was hoping to see your suggestions. I pretty sure it's making it's way down the right tunnel.

The money my teeth have cost me over the years is crazy. I've done dentists since I was young, every 6 mths. Last 10 years 4 times a year.

Dentist and I were justing discussing all the cavities I had when I was a child. I asked her if no flouride during or what other factors could of caused tooth decay so badly in the 60s????

The three oldest (of 5) all have mouths full of old and replaced denistry?????
