I read "somewhere" and can't find it, olive oil and lemon helped with herx symptoms. Does anyone know the measurements and if those are the only 2 ingredients. Thanks. I'm enjoying the flagyl......Liz

I would puree 3 organic lemons (rinds on), about 7 or 8 tablespoons of organic olive oil, about 3 to 4 cups filtered water and some organic maple syrup and puree away. It worked like a charm - sometimes I would also take activated charcoal if my herx was terrible. I usually had a 90% reduction in symptoms in 3-9 hours.

Liz,
My son who is studying health and nutrition does one tablespoon per day of Organic Virgin Olive Oil.

I did it for awhile and looking back, I did feel better! I think I will start it again.

The lemon part I am not sure of.

Liz~
I have read that there have been suggestions to patients living HIV, use the olive oil/lemon drink to reduce fatigue and pain of symptoms...It is supposed to be fairly successful. If really interested I can go back and try and find the paperwork I have on it.

I drink it all the time, but not sure if it actually helps with herxs.

My "recipe", is: 3-wedges of lemon, peel and all (that's also was supposed to have the healing properties, the insides if the lemon) 1-2 tbls olive oil, and a glass of water ( I like it with ice)

Hope this helps!
Laura

Aloha,

Lemon juice is really good for the body...it helps hydrate and alkalize the body...and much more...

I use lemon juice, olive oil and garlic - blended -first thing in the morning as a liver detox followed by a cup of dandelion tea....

the lemon squeezes the liver, the garlic kills, and the olive oil flushes ...as I remember....

it's great...

I'm sure the olive oil and lemon juice helps a herx though as it probably helps the liver detox ...

best to you~
