About 6 years ago I became gravely ill with tiredness, loss of appetite, fever, drenching sweats, and muscle pain. Nausea, vomiting, headache, shaking chills.
At the time I had no medical insurance so I just tried to wait it out but it became worse and worse until I just broke down and went to a doctor and he looked at my back and saw a small rash/very small.
He knew that I did not have insurance so did not order blood test and he concluded it most likely was lyme disease. He prescribed me antibiotics which within a day or 2 I was feeling great!
It is now 6 years later I do not have the same symptoms but I do have a constant dizzyness and walk and almost fall because I am so nausiated.
My eye vision is getting worse and worse and my head just feels really weird all of the time/numbed face and just dont feel all there feel like a sleeping pill I am tired ALOT!.
I have been to the ER numerous times and have gotten EKG's, MRI's, and some blood work done. They said it was metabolic blood work/thyroid/liver not sure if that includes a lyme disease tests.
But I am thinking that this is the lyme disease re-manifesting itself. With all other tests done, even went to a ENT to check out my throat and what not because of the stomach problems.
Do you think this is possible? I mean the symptoms aren't the same as I had but they are still lyme disease symptoms that it could of came back?
I feel like I have a flu/cold 24/7! I would also like to add that my memory is very very very bad... I cannot remember what happened an hour ago...

Welcome Rynet. I hope you find the answers you are looking for on this site. There will probably be some that come along and post a story very similiar to yours about lyme & company.
Many seem to have relapses, especially if their initial treatment was with a short treatment like in the 10-21 day variety.
With you being up in Northeast/Conn someone will gladly share some doctor information near by for you. These doctors are referred as LLMD, which is lyme literate medical doctor.

Yes, it is not only possible but likely. I would get to a LLMD asap. When I was 20 they thoughT I had lupus and it went away with abx and then 7 years later I got tick bites and rash and my suspected lupus was BACK but worse. Lyme does that. But now I am 100% symptom free- with a good LLMD and longterm abx therapy I always consistently see people get better!*!!
Welcome to the board*)!*)! Sincerely, Sarah
