I just stared on IV Rocephin on Nov.7th. I've noticed a HUGE increase in my sound sensitivity. In fact it was never this bad before I started IV. Does anyone have experience with this? It finally has let up a bit today. It is to the point where I wear earplugs and everything still hurts my ears. Even talking (my own voice) hurts my ears.

Yikes! Wonder what that means. It's not so bad today but it has been getting progressively worse every day since Nov. 7.

Is it possible to do 2 IV antibiotics at the same time. I am wondering because I am throwing up again and wondering what the point of taking an oral antibiotic is when I start throwing up this much.

The sound sensitivity thing I find weird because I never considered that one of my major symptoms so why would it be so bad now? Because the IV is doing something to my CNS?

I have major sound sensitivity as well. It seems worse some days than others. I'm not on Rocephin, though.

My husband can be in the other room and crinkling a paper bag and it hurts my ears.

And don't get me started with someone banging plates and pots and pans around. Ouch!!!

It's hard for me to even chop veggies up because the "chopping" hurts my ears. [Frown]
