Has anyone had a staph infection during Lyme Disease and gotten through it?

I know I have had it 6 plus months. I tried several times to get my ENT to culture my ear but never would..saying I was on to many antibiotics to get an infection.

I am now on oral Rifampin, had to stop my babesia treatment wich had just started to tune down my fevers!! because Rifampin interacts.

Plus I am in the middle of Hyperbaric...and your not suppossed to treat with hyperbaric if you have babesia if your not treating it?! RIGHT??

IS ORAL RIFAMPIN enough for a staph infection I have had this long?? When my ears are bleeding and I feel like I have a soft tissue infection around the ear and neck..and possible bone involvement??

Don't I probably need IV?? I already have a picc line..

I guess the bacteria is only sensitive to:

Tetracyline
Rifampin
Vancomycin

I know this infection is causing half my pain for sure!!

Can anybody help with any advice? Reassurance??

I am terrified right now...

How can I kick all of these infections??

No wonder why I am bedridden.

I am so mad no one would help me when I knew something was wrong intially.

I just want to crawl in my bed and never come out.

I don't know what to do!! I am thinking I should demand the Vancomycin and kick this things butt!!

Does that work for lyme too?

ANY HELP..I am desperate.

Thank you Lymenet Family..Thank you.

You need to stay calm as you can they will get a handle on the staph.

Staphylococcus haemolyticus is a species of bacterium belonging to the genus Staphylococcus. It is a Gram positive coccus, coagulase negative, and catalase positive. Frequently found as a commensal organism on the skin of humans and animals,Commensal: 1. Living in a relationship in which one organism derives food or other benefits from another organism without hurting or helping it. Commensal bacteria are part of the normal flora in the mouth.

S. haemolyticus occurs infrequently as a cause of soft-tissue infections, usually in immunocompromised patients.[1]

S. haemolyticus is resistant to multiple antimicrobial agents.[2] Resistance to vancomycin has been recorded, and this is a cause for concern because such resistance could be acquired by other, more pathogenic staphylococci.[3]

Well you will think I am a little nutsy but I would do lots of steaming with essential oils into my nasal passages and ears.

I'd put 1/4 inch of water on to boil, and then as soon as it does, turn off the flame and put about 10 drops of teatree oil, and/or teatree and lavender, into the water, and immediately breathe it in through my nostrils and hold each ear over the steam. You have to do this quickly before the volatile oils that kill bugs go away. I would do this every 20 minutes.

You can do hyperbaric with babesia, I know many people who did. I think its over-rated that it stimulates babesia, maybe on occasion, but it also will help heal from your surgery and kill lyme bugs.
