I have been taking 500mg/2x's day of Biaxin.

Also 500mg/once/day of Levaquin. I am also

taking neuontin for seizures 100mg/4x's day. 2

nights ago at 3 am I had a very scary seizure. (even on anti-seizure meds)

Since then I am experiencing aweful heart

problems. My heart will beat double then

sometimes skip a beat. I almost went to the ER

tonight. I didn't because the stupid hospitals

in FL can and will refuse you if you owe a

balance (which I do at one). There is only one

hospital I can try. I feel better now. But this

has been going on for 2 DAYS!! I felt like my

heart was going to stop. Sometimes it will

speed up.

My question is.......could being Biaxin and

Levoquin for almost 2 solid months cause these

possible heart arrhythmias??? A pharmacist told

my Mom that it could. I was wondering if anyone

else has experienced this?

Thanks. I'm SCARED!!!!!!! [confused]

Love you all,
Bethany

Here is a website regarding Levaquin: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/levoflox.htm & another warning of dangers: http://www.fluoroquinolones.org/

This tells about Biaxin: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/clarith.htm

I have never had a problem on Biaxin, but I have never mixed it with Levaquin. If a pharmacist said it could, then it can, they know drug interactions better than doctors.

Call you LLMD immediately about this, either it is an interaction or side effect it sounds like, which can start at anytime on abx, even 2 months in.

Take care.
