Just wondering if you have tried levaquin and how you responded to it. Am considering it to try and get rid of my myoclonus (muscle jerks).

What dosage and how long were you on it? Thanks.

Levaquin was my miracle drug! I didn't have muscle jerks .... but it did clear up a lot of cognitive and GI issues.

I took one per day ... I think it may have been 500 mg.??? Can't remember. I was on it for 12 weeks, then switched to Rifampin.

Hey Hiker,

I too made great progress with IV levaquin. I was on it approx. 4 months. Sorry, this was awhile ago, so I can't remember the dose.

Good luck,
Melanie

I have been on levaquin for one month and it has caused one heck of a herx.

I did not anticipate such a reaction to this drug considering I never tested positive for bart, but I guess it is hitting something.

Sorry for the basic question, but are you all taking Levaquin to fight Lyme or another TBD?

Thanks.

hiker53 - yes! try it you'll like it! it really helps me with the myclonus. I was plesantly suprised!! I stopped for a few days (a different story) and the myclonus came right back the next day it started up. So I'm still on Levaquin and have no idea how long it will take to rid the myclonus.
Hope it works well for you too!
