Just wondering how often your LLMD's switch your abx. The following excerpt makes sense:
quote: CYCLING REMOVES THE PRESSURE
Between 1997 and 1999, Raymond et al[6] conducted a study of a surgical ICU in which antibiotics were administered conventionally for one year; in the following year, antibiotics were cycled on a quarterly basis. Cycling was found to reduce mortality associated with infection, as well as the incidence of gram-positive coccal and gram-negative bacillary infections; it was also an independent predictor of survival. ``When you withdraw the antibiotic from the environment for a period of time, you reduce the pressure for those resistance genes and they will be deselected,'' said Dr. Kollef. ``By having more effective drugs in the environment, Raymond et al were seeing an improvement in outcomes.'' source: http://tinyurl.com/39jfba
To take this logic to an extreme, what would happen if you cycled over 4 classes of abx, one per week. For example, week 1 macrolide, week 2 tetracycline, week 3 penicillin, week 4 cephalosporin, and repeat all over again (of course keep another parallel cycle going for coinfections with fluoroquinones/atovaquone, etc).
I think there is something to this as it would hit the bacteria from a different angle as soon as they start to "get comfortable" with a particular drug.
Same would apply to herbs. I've seen herbal users here who have switched herbs very frequently, due to muscle testing/ART, and have beaten the bacteria succesfully.

I have been treated for the last 6 months. I have been to my LLMD each month for follow ups. He has taken blood 4 times.
He has added and changed the type of abxs at each visit. Also changing the type of supplements to be taken.
At this time my LYME has been put in check, still have pains but nothing new.
Putting 21 items in my body daily.

I kept switching due to ducks clueless, I took anything I could find around the house, and I herxed for 6 weeks stright. Killed alot too!
What if you have bart and dont know it? for ex. The floro will kill it, but most of the others dont do jack. What if you have babes, if you sticked with roxy/bactrim (gasser protocol) it wont touch bart. But severely kill off the lyme. Until they get better test standards, perhaps what you suggest would be the only fail proof method. There is no reasonable explaination for super long term abx and no compelete and perm remission. The most plausable exp is that there was a co that was not properly treated. Super bugs are still pretty rare. Its no super bug, its just the doctor treating you missed one of the diseases. Try live blood microscopy, its gotta be better then what these failing blood tests yeild.
