Which is best, and what does it need to be taken with? I start treating bart really soon, so I need to know. Can't do Rifampin--already took it for a month w/ no success. [ 16. January 2008, 09:47 PM: Message edited by: adamm ]

Hi there, I did Levaquin, Septra and Tindamax for 5 months straight which didn't help me. I relapsed after being off meds for about a couple of weeks. This time I'm on Biaxin, Septra and Flagyl. Will not go back to the Levaquin/Septra routine because it was to painful and didn't work for me in the long run. I think each treatment is different. It depends on what coinfections you're dealing with and other parameters come into play too. Hope this helps. -------------------- Do not take this as medical advice. Biaxin/Amoxi for one year took care of my bart. My LLMD says Azithro/Flagyl gets rid of everything (except babs). --------------------www.truthaboutlymedisease.com

I was on Biaxin for 10 months and it didn't touch my bart. Bart cleared in 3 months with Levaquin. -------------------- sixgoofykids.blogspot.com

Levaquin + Zithromax or Cipro with Biaxin are good combinations for bartonella taken for 4-6 months.
