Do you have issues with VERY dry scalp? My daughter and I both are having issues with it. I wonder if it could be lyme related.

You know when I was first diagnosed I had horrible dandruff. It was horrendous and I was highly embarrassed by it. My LLMD told me that it wasn't actually dandruff, but yeast. I got a special shampoo to treat yeast and voila .my dry scalp is virtually gone. YOu can get it in the dandruff shampoo aisle. It comes in a Box

I have had the same problem for awhile...

It is so bad that my scalp itches and bleeds!

I was diagnosed with Psoriasis but NOTHING has helped!

I am going to go look for that shampoo to treat the yeast...

I will try ANYTHING at this point, this has been going on for about a year and a half!!!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Wow! I never thought about the possibility of it being yeast but it makes sense. Thank you for the suggestion. I plan to try the shampoo.

oh man, i just had this problem. my doc said "could be yeast". but diagnosed it as dry scalp and said get nizoral shampoo or a conditioning shampoo with vitamins.

I bought the small blue bottle of nizoral and it has helped tremendously.

i also bought a bottle of pantene pro-v with vitamins and conditioning shampoo which i used to.

i had scratched my head until i had bloody welts on it.

i also went to vitamin shoppe and bought candex for yeast. i take two capsules in the morning and at night. it's worked very well.

Yep, I have this problem.

My scalp itches somewhat and then I've noticed sores on my scalp and it's so dry I have stuff that looks like drandruff, but I just think it's dry skin, lots of dry skin.

I've tried dandruff shampoo and I change shampoos often and though it seems to help at first, it doesn't help entirely and the dryness always comes back.

Why would someone have yeast problems before taking antibiotics? Do people have yeast problems with Lyme before taking antibiotics??? Just very curious about that now!
