This is a follow up to a thread posted last week. I contacted Columbia and was indeed advised that they do not see pediatric patients for neuropsych evals.
They recommended contacting the LDA for a physician referral.
This will be news to two of the 3 docs that my son has seen, the third, who says that he has known Dr. F for 20 years, indicated that he has not been able to get kids evaluated at Columbia, and said to let him know if we managed to get in, as it would open a lot of doors for his patients.
I'm of course quite disappointed, especially since children represent a significant number of those infected with Lyme.
What's the point of offering a service if you exclude a huge chunk of the people that need it?
The plus side is that there is an altenative Md. that's closer to home, he just reportedly does not accept any insurance and is quite expensive.
Best of luck to all in their quest for good health. KP

Yes, that's the same information I received just recently.
My daughter's pain physician tried to refer her there for a neurological evaluation.
I was also very disappointed and told to find a LL pediatric neurologist.
