So on the bottle it says take 2 500 mg pills every day for 8 weeks, but there are
only 56 pills in the bottle! So does my doc really want me to take a gram
of
this stuff everyday for a month, ya' figure?
I only took one today. I'm not running the risk of making the
bart resistant by having done this, am I?
Well, I'll call him tomorrow and get this cleared up.

So you will only be taking 1,000 mg/day and not 1,500 -2,000 mg? Call the doctor back, get the correct prescription and make sure you take enough. 1,000 mg Biaxin is a low dose. Most ins. companies only cover a 30 day supply, so see about refills.

I have learned to always make a paper copy of each prescription I get prior to taking into the pharmacy. then if there is a question I can check the original script to see if it was Rx error or the doc.
I put mine in a file and write on it date filled, date began, date finished, and any side effects noticed. I also write "COPY" in blue letters on it.
Call your doctor to get clarification of the order.
