I am worried that this will be one of those tests that do a number on me. I have heard that some people have additional abdominal pain and nausea once injected with the stuff they use.

Any input?

Are they doing 2 injections? If I remember correctly, the first one didn't give me noticeable symptoms.

If you are doing the 2nd injection, during the procedure, then it will probably make you feel nauseas and hot. Even with the warning, it took me by surprise - it was intense. But it passes quickly, so take deep breathes and you will get through it.

When I had this test, 2 years ago, the abdominal pain was pretty constant, so not sure if the test actually gave me more. Seems like I suspected it did.

I did feel a bit sluggish afterward, although that might not be the case for everyone.

Hang in there, you'll get through it!

Pretty easy test for me...lengthy. Be patient.

It's not a big deal, the nausea cramps lasts like 30 seconds. It's not a bad test at all.

Thanks, I don't know why but I'm getting anxious about testing these days, esp. with injections of anything. Your input helps though. I am having it done next week to see if my pain is coming from my gall bladder or not.

Just a little gas and gurgling - no discomfort.
The hardest part was laying still for so long.

I've had a few HIDAs, if you take it early in the morning you can fall asleep during it.
