hi -- I am on an aggressive Lyme/bart protocol, and have a question: I don't seem to be herxing too much on the following meds. I thought that mino was a butt-kicker so I'm a little confused. Any thoughts? Here's my protocol (by the way, the reason LLMD added mino was because he did a doxy blood levels test, and it was lower than he wanted).

Rifampin 600mg/day
Doxy 400mg/day
Mino 100 mg/day
Bicillin 2x week

How long have you been on the Rifampin? How long on the others?

Usually, the herx will come....it's only a matter of time.

That much would have killed me. [Big Grin]

PS...It's the rifampin that would have done me in...not the mino....though mino is rough at the 200 and 300 mg level. UGH.

That's the thing....I herxed like CRAZY at the beginning of this protocol....7 months ago. Now not? But I know bart is not gone because my feet and shin bones still hurt.

Hmmm.

No herx for me on mino., only gradual improvement. For me it is hard to distinguish between a herx, and feeling my usual crappy self.
