I am going into my 7th day of Doxy and I have been having stomach cramps the past 2-3 days but worse this morning.
I havent had diarreah but more constipation but feel like I will have it.
????? They do hurt!

Doxy can be really hard on the stomach for some folks. I don't know if you took it with food or not? Taking it with food may help. I hope you feel better.

i eat yogart in the am...... then take my doxy with lunch and dinner.....
acidolpholis is great too..... are you taking that??

As long as you don't have diarrhea, I think you could try an antispasmodic, something over the counter like they sell for IBS.

Eat the doxy with food and do NOT lie down for 30 minutes after you take it or it can literally burn a hole in your stomach. This should help along with probiotics.

Eat a big meal and drink a large glass of water, THEN take the Doxy, THEN eat more and do not lie down for 3 hours afterwards. Always eat with your antibiotics and stay upright, drink lots of water. Doxy is a nasty stomach ripper but if you can tolerate it, it's a good drug for Lyme as long as the doses are right.
