Has anyone been advised by LLMD NOT to take coq10 while on IV rocephin?

I can't think of any interaction. It is just that a highly respected LLMD told my brother not to take coq10 with IV rocephin.

My brother just entered the ALS/rocephin study at Mass General in Boston. My brother had ALS and was diagnosed with ALS/ lyme by this LLMD.

The LLMD told my brother not to take coq10 with IV rocephin. Maybe it is an ALS thing. My brother didn't think to ask why at the time, and he no longer sees this doctor.

I was wondering if anyone had heard of this. The doctors in the study didn't mention a problem with this. He is allowed to take anything that is not considered experimental in any dose that is not considered experimental.

So he is trying to decide whether or not to discontinue the coq10.
