I've been buying this brand/variety for a while now. I like it a lot and it seems to be helpful for my bad candida condition. It's unsweetened. It contains the following active cultures: L. Bulgaricus, S. Thermophilus, Bifidobacterium, L. Acidolphilus and L. Casei.

Any opinions on it? Think it's a good source of healthy flora for my damaged system?

As long as you don't start defining women by their yeast problems, I've no problem with probiotics.

The cultures added seem fine. Unsweetened is good.

Is there a way you can get organic yogurt ?

Most other diaries give their cattle bovine growth hormone (rBGH ?) and many put antibiotics in their feed.

Some diaries that are not organic may not use rBGH but they are not generally allowed to advertise that.

Where I live (West Coast) I just happen to know that one huge dairy co-op decided not to use the hormone and a simple news article was out about that a year ago.

I went to their web site but was overwhelmed with their products. You might contact the company if you wish for more answers on the source of the milk.

Unless you enjoy the yogurt, it's actually far cheaper to get probiotics in capsule form (but beware that many don't contain what they say). Marketing of yogurt has gone nuts and it's usually very high priced.

Still, yogurt is so versatile and if you can "do" dairy, do enjoy it.
Buying in large tubs is more economical and putting in your own containers to take with you.

Other than mixing with frozen fruits, I like to mix vanilla, nutmeg and stevia (or a touch of agave).
