Amantadine has the same effect of alkalyzing the cells so the antibiotics can work better. however as far as I know it has no effects on the cyst form.

Trish, What are your concerns with the P? I'm suppose to take this too.
I've heard it may cause eye problems.
Have you had a bad experience with it?

What is the reason you are taking Plaquenil?
Plaquenil has multiple uses for people with Lyme. It can be used with certain antibiotics like Biaxin to make the abx more effective, it can be used as part of a larger treatment for Babesia, and it can be used for its anti-inflammatory properties.
