Glad you enjoyed it, what did you have that was so naughty? I think most Chinese food is okay ... except for maybe the white rice, or the sweet and sour sauce.

When I cheat I usually have ice cream. But tonight it's going to be pizza.

Many Chinese food restaurants now have their entire menu MSG-free, or you can ask for that.
Also, many more are steaming or using good oils for stir-frying.
It's very easy to ask for food to be prepared a certain way at many of the Asian restaurants. Sometimes, I would take my own sauce in a tiny jar and just ask them to steam chicken and vegetables if I thought their sauces would not work for me.
And . . . ginger . . . oh, wonderful ginger is in so many dishes. Very good food when prepared healthfully.

I'm with you six. Those are 2 of my favorite treats. We had low carb take and bake pizza from papa Aldos tonight. You can also get low carb, no sugar, ice cream and it is good too. I only have that rarely because of the dairy. Also, any pizza made with tomato sauce can increase inflammation but it's worth it once a month or so.
steelbone - glad you got to have a treat. What lyme diet are you on?

Soy Delicious is also a wonderful soy "ice cream" some are made with fruit juice and no cane sugar. - some of theirs are with sugar, though so look for the Spring green label on the front "fruit juice sweetened"
However, since they went "low fat" the taste is not as good and I think still too sweet, even with the fruit sweetened. I did like their previous recipe better, but still, once in a while it's a sweet chill.

Ended up we had Domino's and Girl Scout cookies for our indulgence.
Thanks for the ice cream recommendations, but as far as I know there is only one kind of ice cream in Cincinnati -- Graeters. Okay, okay, i think they do sell other kinds, but I just can't get past the Graeters.
Plus, believe it or not, my only remaining intolerance is to foods high in mold -- which includes fruit juice! So, I'm better off with the full-sugar version of the ice cream! Poor me! But thanks for the suggestion.
I was really good with only a once per month treat when I was on heavy abx .... now that my load is lightened, I'm to maybe a once per week treat. Other than that, I really am a health nut, it's just more fun to talk about the infractions.

Another recommendation for cheating on the lyme diet:
Believe it or not, Breyers Sugar-Free Ice Cream (double churned) is
surprisingly GREAT! It uses splenda, or some other chemical substitute for sugar,
which I know not everyone will like. But it is not too sweet, and very delicious!

Ohhhh, Girl Scout cookies. I sure would like to see a shift to gluten-free, fruit sweetened . . . Thin Mints, my *** - I never got thin eating them (pre-gluten-free years, of course) !!
