I had Avelox and Doxy a couple of years ago for suspected Bart. No proton pump inhibitor. I was told that Avelox was a better drug with less side effects. However, after mucho reading and still with Bart symptoms, no POS test yet, I am learning Levaquin, Levaquin, Levaquin with PPI. Is there any literature regarding whether one is better than the other? I see Cipro is less effective. Wondering if that is the case with Avelox. Currently trying Rifampin and Zith. I think I am herxing. But if this doesn't work, want to be prepared to try Levaquin if it it indeed the better drug and take it with the proton pump inhibitor. Thanks for your help. You all have been wonderful.
