Hi all, my serum positive lyme resulted in the following western blot results. While I understand that neither test is accurate for determining diagnosis, I was curious if there were any here that were test result savvy and could give me their thoughts on it.

Thanks much!

LYME WESTERN BLOT IGM Indeterminate -
LYME WESTERN BLOT IGG Indeterminate -
SOURCE Serum -
IGM KDA BANDS 41 -
IGG KDA BANDS 30, 41, 93 -
INTERP/COMMENT IgM nonspecific bands were also detected. IgG nonspecific bands were also
detected.

While there is some band reactivity, these results do not meet the CDC criteria for a positive Lyme Western Blot.

go to the top of page and read western blot

Dr C's Western Blot Explanation

In my clinical experience, if a patient has symptoms suspicious for borreliosis, and has one or more of the following bands, there is a very high probability the patient has borreliosis.

These bands are 18, 22, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 37, 39, 41, 83, and 93.

Thanks Roadrunner, I should have looked around a little. Thats pretty informative but I couldn't find a link to the resources.

I need to find some documents that I can point my doctor to. While I am sure the information is legit, I need a resource for it.

I think I also need to find out what "non-specific" bands I was reactive on.

93 is definitely Lyme. HAS to be!

"93: The DNA or genetic material of Borrelia burgdorferi."
