I have some questions abt the topic of this thread. I have been reading abt these things here, in other posts.

Spooky mentioned: " lumps and bumps of fibro".

1) Is this referring to knots in muscles?? OR Things like benign fatty lipomas??

2) The Lyme cysts?

Are they when the bacteria is in cyst form???
OR does, Lyme causes actual cysts under the skin, or the joints like a ganglion/bakers cysts?

3) On another post, someone mentioned "noduales" being from Bartonella....Are these skin cysts, bacteria, or like knots in the muscles?

4) Are polyps{sp} included with the cysts/noduales too?

I seem to keep finding these pea sized lumps, of different sizes popping up on my arms or thighs.

Mine hurt, itch or are very tender, then seem to go dormant and seem to flatten out for awhile. But never go away. Then suddenly flare up.

I had one removed, but the dr only biopsied it for cancer, {before I knew I had lyme}. It was benign.

I have had ganglion cyst on my wrists, that come and go.

Any info would be a big help. Thank You.

I had this response ready to go to the other thread when I found that you had deleted your quesitons from that thread and started a new thread.

I think my response will be confusing unless it is in context of the other thread so I'm putting in a link to the other thread. If this answer is not what you were looking for, let me know and I'll delete it:

Here is an FAQ about the lumps that are mapped in order to determine progress or blocking in the guaifenesin protocol for fibromyalgia patients.

About the lumps

Here are some of my maps early on in the protocol

I took it to mean the borrelia cysts in the tissues. Hopefully she'll come along and clarify for you.

From what I've seen, this is common in fibromyalgia, I have them myself. Just a note for those who don't know, fibromyalgia is often caused by lyme. There is a mention of these lumps in the FAQ link above but it doesn't say much about them except in relation to mapping.

I've seen them mentioned before by 2 LLMD's but have never seen a description of them so can't answer your question.

There have been discussions here before about some of the lumps that people get with lyme so you may get more info by doing a search.

My mom is sick like I am and many decades into her illness she developed big lumps all over. They diagnosed her with sarcoidosis and put her on steroids. This disabled her. They then changed her diagnosis to atypical sarcoidosis. I suspect it is bartonella that is causing them. I read that bartonella is on the differential diagnosis list for sarcoidosis.

Hi Terry,
Thanks very much for the info!! Sorry, I moved it. Several times I tagged questions onto someones post and never got answers.

When I remembered that, I started the new post/Thread.

I was wondering abt a Bart & Sarc connection ?

I was first dx'd with back & knee problems, then fibro, then a few yrs later sarc, then lyme, raynauds, and sjogrens..

My Rheummy was annoyed when I had the lump removed, and it wasn't biopsied for anything other than cancer, cause he wondered if it was from the sarc.

I refused to treat the sarc, because of the steriods. But Now they are using abx to treat it. So I am thinking abt it.

Hubby has sarc and some lumps too, and a bum knee. His lyme test was neg, so he was told.

Thanks for sharing that link and your maps.My comp is really slow, so I will go back and study it some more.

I hope your mom is doing ok now. Does she have breathing problems with the sarc? I hope your doing ok.

No problem! I think you did the right thing I just thought it would be confusing if I didn't include the other link.

As far as I know, they don't know what causes sarc. They are discovering new strains of bart that are problematic for humans so it seems possible that there is a connection.

Fibro is often a result of lyme but it seems like most doctors don't know that so they don't even bother checking for lyme.

I've seen some studies that link sarc and lyme but they were countered with other studies that said there was no connection.

Seems like sjogren's often goes with fibro. Many fibro patients are also diagnosed with raynauds. I'm sorry you have so many things to deal with. [Frown]

Wise move not to use steroids. I didn't know that sarc was treated with abx except in the Marshall protocol.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Seems too coincidental that you both have it unless it is caused by something like an infection. Did you get copies of his tests? Were they IgeneX?

As you probably know, you can still have lyme, even with negative tests. It might be good to see an LLMD if he hasn't already so that he can be looked at by someone who knows what they are doing.

Thank you [Smile] She does not have any lesions or growths on her lungs at this point so her breathing due to sarc is fine. She does have low oxygen and has to sleep with oxygen but I suspect that is from babesia or lyme or possibly bart. She is not doing very well now but she is in her 70's and this illness has taken it's toll on her.

Best wishes for you and your family to have a quick recovery.
Terry
