The CT Medical Board has notified Dr. Jones that despite his successful appeal on Case 1 (more likely, BECAUSE of his successful appeal)he will be actively persecuted and dragged into Hartford for many more months of expensive, dog and pony show hearings to come.

The charges now being brought forward aren't new. The Board has had them in reserve; had they had the slightest interest in being fair to Dr. Jones they would have bundled all the cases into one.

It is crystal clear that the CT Board will not stop this persecution until Dr. Jones is driven out of practice, one way or another.

I've been waylaid by a lot for some months, and will be for a couple more weeks (am having a PICC line inserted), but have been thinking for months about how to help Dr. Jones in the biggest possible way that is realistic.

Anyone else interested in that effort (not fundraising), please send me an email.

The board is overseen by the state govt, including the governor and the legislators. That is probably a better place to look for help. It is clear that this board is totally corrupt and not capable of justice or reason.

I am not a legal person but is it possible to launch some contra accusation against the Board such as harassment charges?

This has been done in Texas, where an association representing a group of doctors, has filed a suit against the TX state board. The lawsuit followed an investigation by an attorney in the state capitol, Austin. I hope it happens more often elsewhere because there is no adequate oversight against these boards that are abusing their authority. Instead of going after actual wrong doing by doctors, they are carrying out a vendetta and serving as a tool for insurance companies.

As the attorney for Dr. Jones said, why would the board want to punish a doctor in that case, when the patients were helped by the treatment. Why indeed. It is sickening that this is happening.

sorry to go MIA. I've read the Pm;s sent on my regular email.

Political pressure is clearly the only way to go; all of the Board members are appointed by CT's governor.

I don't think it is a good idea to get any more specific than that openly on the board. I thought it bizarre and paranoid when i first came here when some folks claimed LymeNet was being monitored by the likes of Steere.

From what has happened lately, i now know better, which is why i want to keep a real conversation about this going, but off-line.

Is there anyone reading this from CT who is already working on the larger picture? There is no reason (or time) to re-invent the wheel, and i would be happy to join in/help coordinate any effort already underway.
