I am on an anti yeast diet the fiber has been using tastes horrible it is hemp and i take about 2 servings (4 tablespoons) a day which provides 26 grams of fiber a day.

Does anyone know of a less horrible tasting alternative? [puke]

I don't take supplements with sugar or artifical sweeteners added though.

My tasebuds are all ears (or i gues in this case eyes) [Big Grin]

There's psyllium, ground flax and apple pectin.

The least offensive would be apple pectin, comes in a pill form.

I don't take any as I have a super sluggish colon and all fibers are like cork plugs. Sorry if tmi.

Hi,

I'm taking Wild Oats Psyllium and Oats. However, Wild Oats was bought by Whole Foods Market some time ago.

Don't know if I'll ever find it again. Too bad, because the price was reasonable.

Psyllium, alone, does nothing for me. However, in a capsule form, with oats, that made all the difference.

I don't take psyllium with Flagyl (according to post about a month ago from CALDA.) I don't take Flagyl Mon-Fri, so that's when I take the fiber product.

I'm currently taking chia seeds.

Yup. Ch-ch-ch-chia! like on the ads.

They don't taste bad at all, although I'm pretty sure the texture isn't for everyone.

You soak them and they form a "gel". I add them to smoothies or sometimes just drink them plain.

As an added bonus, they're higher in Omegas than even hemp and don't have to be ground in order to digest like flax.

That's a commercial site, but it does answer some questions about them.

I take a fiber supplement called Smooth Food 2 by NewChapter. It comes in pill form and works great.

I take anywhere from 1 to 3 pills at night depending on how much I feel I need and the next day my elimination is normal.

I get it at the health food store but I have found that not all health food stores carry it.

Thank you all for your suggestions [Smile]

I think i should stay away from anything w/ psylium for now due to potential of inference of absorbtion.

I was wondering what brand of chia do you buy and where do u buy it from?

The brand I get is Health Product Distributors, Inc.

I get this through my holistic MD, although you can get them here:

1 pound goes a looooong way. I apologize in advance for the sales pitch they give you at that site.
